The goal of Poseidon Diving Logistics LLC is to maintain stock in the US for all Poseidon brand service kits and field replaceable parts that have been ordered within at least the previous two years. This should offer immediate availability of parts for all current consumer products and most commonly requested parts for older equipment. Very rarely requested parts, or parts for obsolete products with limited availability, may be backordered from Sweden with approximately 30-day availability (ARO). Unfortunately, there are a few very old and long discontinued Poseidon products for which some parts are no longer available (NLA) or for which service is not cost effective.
To confirm product availability or request specific parts, refer to the dealer portal or contact our support team.
Any authorized Poseidon Flagship Dealer or Service Center can provide warranty, repair, and maintenance for Poseidon equipment. We can also recommend a qualified service provider in your area if needed.
Poseidon also operates a dedicated service depot in the United States to provide consistent, expert repair and maintenance service regardless of location. Simply ship Poseidon brand equipment to the depot, then get it back fully serviced and ready to dive. To get started or learn more, please contact Poseidon Diving Logistics.
Periodic service by a certified Poseidon Service Technician, as specified in the product manual, is recommended to maintain the US Limited Warranty and ensure optimal performance. Poseidon supports right-to-repair, and the use of third-party service or non-OEM parts does not, by itself, void the warranty. Poseidon Diving Logistics does not restrict their Authorized Dealers from retail sale of parts to individuals nor do they restrict access to maintenance manuals.
However, availability of service kits, replacement parts, specialized tools and maintenance manuals does not imply qualification to assemble and/or service Poseidon Diving Systems equipment. Improper service of diving equipment can result in serious injury or death. Poseidon recommends that divers participating in more advanced technical and exploration type diving be trained in equipment service. We recommend that non-qualified individuals seek professional training/mentoring before attempting repairs or servicing on any diving equipment.
Authorized Poseidon™ Service Centers are specialized partners authorized to service Poseidon products and handle warranty issues according to Poseidon’s guidelines. These centers have a designated individual certified within the last 36 months as a service technician on Poseidon products and benefit from access to Poseidon equipment service kits and parts.
Service technician training courses are available remotely on-line via video conference or on-site in-person classroom format. Upon successful completion of training the certification as a Poseidon Service Technician is valid for three years (36 months). Visit Poseidon Service Technician Training for details.
Poseidon Diving Logistics does not restrict their Authorized Dealers from retail sale of parts to individuals nor do they restrict access to maintenance manuals. Manuals are available on their website at https://www.poseidondiving.us/manuals
Availability of sub-assemblies and components, repair parts, specialized tools and maintenance manuals does not imply qualification to assemble and/or service Poseidon Diving Systems equipment. Improper service of diving equipment can result in serious injury or death.

Yes and no—this simple question has a complex answer because there is no widely recognized U.S. scuba diving standard defining suitability for oxygen service. From the point of view of stringent U.S. aerospace guidelines and Compressed Gas Association handling standards for oxygen, nothing in general use in recreational diving is suitable for oxygen service. For safety and liability reasons in the US, Poseidon Diving Logistics considers all Poseidon regulators manufactured since 2015 to be Nitrox Ready from the factory, meaning their design and materials (including o-rings & lubricants) are oxygen compatible and clean for use with compressed breathing gases containing a maximum of 40% oxygen.
In terms of cleanliness and compatibility with oxygen, there is no difference between "Nitrox Ready" and "Oxygen Service" prior to initial use. Nonetheless, the 'clean state' of the equipment applies only prior to initial use. Thereafter, periodic inspection and cleaning are a necessity. Divers must meticulously follow the recommendations of the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Compressed Gas Association (CGA), and other federal/state/local agencies, plus their dive training agency for equipment maintenance, handling, storage, labeling, filling, transport and use of compressed gases. Oxygen-related fires and explosions can result in serious injury or death. Ultimately, the diver must make the final decision to assume all risks associated with the use of any compressed gases, including those in excess of 23.5% oxygen.
It's not just that the Duration has green color accents. In the early 2000's, no Poseidon regulator was considered oxygen compatible or oxygen clean from the factory by any standard at that time. When the EN 144-3 "Outlet Connections For Diving Gases Nitrox And Oxygen" standard in the European Union was established in 2003, a unique and incompatible M26x2 connector for oxygen service was required on tank valves and SCUBA regulators. Also at the time, conventional wisdom for diving with oxygen enriched gas mixtures was to substitute oxygen compatible lubricant for silicone grease and to substitute fluorocarbon based elastomers (originally developed by DuPont under the name Viton™) for nitrile o-rings. Those engineering changes were reflected in the Xstream Duration. The Duration M26x2 model of the Xstream was specifically tested and approved for use with pure oxygen, but only in the European Union by their standards.
Eventually the use of nitrox and oxygen became so common that it was more cost effective for dive industry manufacturers to adopt oxygen compatible and clean manufacturing for all their regulators. Also, some concerns regarding characteristics of fluoroelastomers in breathing gas applications began to appear and ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer (EPDM), which is equally oxygen compatible, has become more commonly used. Since 2015, Poseidon now uses oxygen compatible lubricant and oxygen compatible o-rings in all their regulators, including the Deep and Black versions. Some products, like the Duration, that were previously engineered for oxygen service still use Viton o-rings since that was the version that was originally approved for oxygen service.
The Classic and the Xstream first stages paired with an Xstream or Jetstream second stage have an acceptable intermediate pressure range of {109 – 145 psi | 7.5 – 10 bar}, and are set during factory production for {123 psi | 8.5 bar} at {2900 psi | 200 bar} supply pressure. Poseidon’s Xstream and Jetstream second stages require a minimum of {109 psi | 7.5 bar} to seal properly when initially pressurized. If the intermediate pressure exceeds {145 psi | 10 bar}, certain soft components inside the second stage may risk being damaged. Because the Xstream and Jetstream second stages are upstream design, since 2008 the first stages incorporate an OPV that opens if the IP exceeds approximately {200 psi | 14 bar}.
The Classic and the Xstream first stages paired with a Cyklon second stage have an acceptable intermediate pressure range of {145 – 189 psi | 10 – 13 bar}, and are set during factory production for {167 psi | 11.5 bar} at {2900 psi | 200 bar} supply pressure. Because the Cyklon second stage is downstream design, if the IP is too high the second stage will free flow and if the IP is too low the regulator will be difficult to breathe.
Routine maintenance as described in the applicable Poseidon product manual is recommended to maintain the US Limited Warranty and ensure optimal performance for all Poseidon products. Poseidon recommends their SCUBA diving regulators used in recreational diving applications receive an annual inspection plus a preventive maintenance service from a certified Poseidon Service Technician at least once every 24 months or 100 dives, whichever comes first. Please keep in mind that the recommendation is based on typical sport diving usage; other types of usage may require more frequent inspection and maintenance. A regulator comprehensive preventive maintenance service includes replacing wear parts using an OEM service kit, cleaning and lubricating, along with testing and adjustment on a flow bench to verify performance.
The widely accepted absolute maximum useful lifespan of all galvanic chemistry oxygen sensors in rebreather applications is 18 months, typically 12 months or less depending on usage and environmental factors. Because oxygen sensors are so critical to the operational safety of Poseidon rebreathers, we recommend discontinuing the use of R-22D type oxygen sensors that have been in-service over 12 months or have a total age over 18 months. The expiration date printed on some sensors is not a guarantee they can remain in-service until that date; it is a caution against use after that date. There is no field test, dive procedure, or calibration that can reliably validate a galvanic oxygen sensor for use beyond its expiration date or recommended service life.
Unlike galvanic chemistry type oxygen sensors, the digital Poseidon Solid State Oxygen Sensor (SSO2) has no need for routine periodic replacement. The useful life of the Poseidon SSO2 is estimated as being at least ten years, possibly much longer.
